Savagnin (France), or Traminer (Germany), is an ancient white grape which has been grown throughout the more mountainous regions of Europe for thousands of years. It has a range of uses depending on where it is grown, but typically Savagnin produces wines with a citrussy-floral character, sometimes bordering on tropical.
